This one-day course is essential for anyone who uses a brush cutter or trimmer in a professional capacity (as part of

their normal duties) such as an arborist, grounds maintenance operative or gardener. The course develops practical

and theory understanding for how to carry out pre-start checks and maintenance, selection of cutting heads and

operation techniques for brush cutters and trimmers.

      • Assessment: Assessment at end of the day of the course

      • Awarding Body: NPTC Level 2 Certificate

Requirements

​

      • You must be 16 years old or over

      • No formal prerequisites

      • Health and safety legislation that covers trimmer and brush cutter operations

      • PPE for trimmer and brush cutter operations

      • Health and safety features of the

      • Maintenance the trimmer/brush cutter

      • How to operate a trimmer/brush cutter

      • Understand different operating techniques

      • How to store equipment safely and appropriately

Certification

​

On completion of the course, successful candidates will be sent a City and Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in the Safe Use

of brush-cutters and trimmers.
